A bond for life: Friends, thank you for loving us even though…

This is for our friends who see how messy our home can be and they don't care. They don't judge us because we don't have a living space to fit into prestigious magazines. They don't pay attention to the fact that we haven't dusted in two weeks and we have a pile of dirty laundry on the couch or a pile of dirty dishes in the sink. They don't care about any of this - all they want is for us to sit down and talk. They want to know how we are and they want to share their good and bad moments with us. The conversation is more important than the space we're in - that's what counts!

It's for our friends who catch us when our hair isn't freshly washed, when we're wearing sweatpants with holes and mismatched socks, and when we're wearing no makeup. They don't care, that we are not perfect. The only thing that matters to them is that we showed up at a certain place at a certain time. That's what counts!

It's for our friends who have seen our tears and hugged us, even though smeared mascara and snot will most likely stain their clothes. They don't care about the shirt, they care about us! They care to be there for us when we cry - they want to show us that we are not alone and that we are loved. These are friends who see us on the floor and want to talk. These are the friends who listen to us when we want to cry or scream and know what words will calm us down.

It's for our friends who see what a mess we are but love us anyway. They realize that friendship is not just a shiny part of success. Friendship is ups and downs, and true friends are always there! It's a friendship that lasts, it's a friendship that counts!
