We will have the opportunity to listen live to the icon of the 1980s. George Alan O'Dowd, better known as Boy George, is coming to Ljubljana. As a representative of the new wave or new romantic movement that appeared in the early eighties in London, he met people who helped him a lot at the beginning of his career. He started his musical career in various groups, but he experienced worldwide recognition in the Culture Club group. Followed by hits such as Do You Really Want to Hurt Me, Karma Chameleon and many others. He also worked with the group in Band Aid with a hit song Until They Know It's Christmas. Throughout his career, he raised dust with his looks and bold fashion choices. Even his solo career, which he started at the end of the 1980s, was full of controversial events. After a long addiction to heroin, he ventured into music again in the early nineties and impressed with the song The Crying Game from the film of the same name. He remained faithful to his musical path and appeared at various concerts to this day, sometimes also in the role of a DJ. With the flourishing of electronic music, he ventured into this genre as well. He worked with groups Faithless, Groove Armada and many others. Known for his sense of humor, penetrating lyrics and incredible stage presence, he will conjure up the eighties in all their glory.
