The Rocket series has a very special place and reputation at the Brabus company, and the common denominators of cars from the respective series are speed and incredible acceleration. So far, we've already seen the rework of the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S and Mercedes-Benz S650, joined by the new ″rocket″ Brabus 900 Rocket Edition.
The newest member of the so-called ″rockets″ surprised us quite a bit, because it is basically anything but a sports car. Brabus 900 Rocket Edition is based on the G63 model and will take the concept of "SUV" to completely new heights. They will only be made 25 copies, and it will be necessary to deduct approx 570,000 euros.
The super SUV is definitely impressive both visually and in terms of performance. Its heavily reworked V 8 cylinder has 4.5-liter volume and so on 900 horsepower. It has 1,250 Nm of torque available, but due to excessive load on the powertrain, it is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h only lasts 3.7 seconds, and the final speed is again electronically limited to 280 km/h. This time, the limitation is conditioned by the tires, which would not be able to withstand a greater load.
