Buckle: a watch that whistles to a traditional design principle

As a rule, ordinary watches consist of a dial, a strap and a buckle, which is not the case with Buckle!

Japanese design studio Nendo has unveiled the third product from its watch collection TAN: TAN. He named it buckle, which translates to buckle. What is interesting above all is the fact that the watch does not have a traditional clasp at all.

Unlike normal watches, which consist of a dial, a belt and a buckle that adjusts the length of the belt, the buckle contains only two components - when making the new model, Nendo gave up unnecessary parts of the watch, because combined the dial and clasp in one element.

The result of the new design is long belt, which excellent replaces two lanes, which are otherwise fixed each on its own side of the dial. The patch allows users to on easy way to adjust the length of the belt and they fasten the watch right on the top of the wrist. At the same time, the belt can be easily removed and replaced with belts of different colors and structures.
