They launched a new innovative generation of Gorenje WaveActive washing and drying machines on the market, which stand out with the most modern washing and drying technology, award-winning design and are among the most energy efficient on the market.

This was also confirmed by the two design awards they received at this year's evaluation of Red dot's design achievements. Lidija Pritržnik, Director of Product Design, said that the jury recognized the design quality in the "combination of an extremely harmonious and elegant visual language, modern functionality of the product and excellent ergonomics of the user interface". She emphasized that a good understanding of the needs and habits of individuals was important in the design, which Gorenje's designers achieved in this project through in-depth research among end users in key markets. In doing so, they learned about the habits and challenges of various users during the laundry care process, tested design solutions in different markets and compared responses to the essential design features of the appliance. They used the final findings to further improve the product. "The key goal in creating the new WaveActive machine series was to design washing and drying machines that are unobtrusive assistance to users in everyday tasks and follow the Gorenje brand's promise of simplifying life. Soft lines express user-friendliness and positive emotions, while strong horizontal shapes represent the robustness, capacity, stability and spaciousness of the product," said the director of product design.
