The circular cycling route in Ljubljana is a new thematic cycling route that winds along the Ljubljanica and interweaves the urban environment with nature and where the Ljubljanica river accompanies you instead of the river. It runs from Fužin Castle along the Ljubljanica embankment through Štapanjska naselje, Kodeljevo and the heart of the city (Petkovškovo embankment, Prešernov, Kongresni and Novi trg) and ends at Špica (Prule).
The circular cycling route is marked with blue signposts and information boards that guide you only by low-traffic streets with low driving speeds. So it is about the safest bicycle connection between Fužinski Castle and Špica (Prule).
The first project of its kind "Thematic cycling routes" was financially supported through the program "Intelligent Energy Europe", which has a background in the European Commission's campaign for sustainable mobility in cities" Do the Right Mix.” Red Ribbon is on Tuesday, September 30 at 11 a.m., cut Blaž Lokar (Association ZaMestoPodveh), deputy mayor Janez Koželj and To the Institute for Tourism, and there is a detour the first of four of planned thematic cycling routes, which should bring cycling a little closer to the people of Ljubljana.

The ring road mainly targets residents of the eastern part of the city (Fuzine, Štepanjsko naselje), and appeals to both the elderly and the young. So that the route would be as well received as possible and that people would along the banks of the Ljubljanica by bicycle to work, school, after errands, etc., a promotional video was created, and the promotion also includes group game "Cycle your coffee" and "Coffee Catch - geocaching", leaflets, maps, morning actions encouraging cyclists, information boards and free mobile repair shop of bicycles (under the Fabiani Bridge).
