General Motors has published official photos and information of the "winded" CTS-V, which hides the famous under the hood 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that develops as much as 477 kW or 640 hp in this sports sedan. This significantly exceeds the strength of the biggest rivals of the German "holy" trinity, where BMW M5 can handle 412 kW or 560 hp, Mercedes E63 AMG S and let's say 424 kW or 577 hp.

The sporty mission is rounded off by the standard eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and a special system called "performance algorithm shifting", for even more sporty and fast shifting. The CTS-V can be recognized on the outside by the widened fenders and plenty of other sporty "whites", in shape carbon fiber bonnet, on which there are special openings for engine cooling. The bonnet and the air intakes on the bumper below it have also received the chrome treatment, while at the rear there is a rear diffuser flanked by two pairs of large-diameter twin tailpipes.
