Ricoh recently unveiled its new brand Pentax K-1 Mark II camera to the public. Considering the specifications it offers, it is expected to perform exceptionally well.
Compared to its predecessor K-1 has Pentax K-1 Mark II the same full frame CMOS sensor with resolution 36.4MP, but a higher maximum sensitivity ISO 819 200. The ISO when shooting videos is 25 600.
A slightly larger sensor (35.9mm x 24mm) allows very shallow depth of field and helps to larger individual pixel sizes. This is reflected in the improved resolution and sound of recordings. Thank you acceleration units in the sensor produced by Ricoh, it is possible to create high-quality images even at poor light.
The camera uses a new Pixel Shift technology with the SRII mechanism, which creates one super-high resolution photo from four photos. The user will be able to capture every detail in the recordings. Also, the effect of camera shake is canceled out in this way.
Pentax has also taken care of those who own the K-1. The features available on the K-1 Mark II can actually be ported over to an older camera and save some money that way.
The first customers will receive the K-1 Mark II in April. The price is 1,638 euros.
