Casa Balint: Architecture that plays with light and shadow

Close to the Spanish Valencia stands the minimalistic designed Casa Balint - a house that hides a game of geometry, light and shadow in its design. With this project, the architectural studio Fran Silvestre Arquitectos wanted to bring some urban art to the green surroundings of the golf course.

The plan Case Balint it is composed of elliptical lines, the purpose of which is to reduce the volumetric impact in the place where it stands. The house is actually a single piece with a continuous facade that appears to be only one story high. The aerodynamic lines of the structure thus lead the eye towards the depth of the surrounding landscape and reduce the encroachment that the house would otherwise have on its surroundings.

Architectural studio Fran Silvestre Arquitectos with the Balint house, he once again proved how it can be done modern architectural elements add to the urban landscape environment. Its shape blends in with the curves of the golf course that surrounds the house. The interior space in the house consists of a central void as a space of communication. The work spaces and the kitchen follow the curved lines of the lower floor, which opens onto the garden. The upper floor with the rooms opens onto the courtyard, which relieves the house of limited spaces. The special feature of the Balint house is the play of light and shadow, which are hunted around the house at different hours of the day.
