The Indian architecture studio Cadence played through the eyes of children's wild imaginations when designing the elementary school.
Located in a densely populated urban area Bengaluru in India, the building already stands out with its rugged facade and interesting level construction. Classrooms, a library, a multi-purpose room and numerous play areas are spread over five floors.
Architects were derived from a collection of endless childhood daydreams, indicated by letter cutouts on the upper facade, lines and corners intended for hiding places, a lively mix of cyclamen and lime, peepholes on the door and a terrace of soft lines. The seemingly completely different worlds are dialogically connected by an open winding staircase.
Cadence's architects have thus succeeded in creating a unique world of boundless playfulness for relaxed school days.
