Due to last year's unexpectedly great success of "Cassette Store Day" (CSD for short), the international event is returning in the second round this year, on September 27.
It was an international music "holiday". designed in 2013 by the British record labels with the aim of wiping the dust off the already almost completely forgotten phonograms and that we can honor their quality features. On this occasion, many the musicians are releasing again mine albums via audio cassettes.
So far, the American list is more extensive than the European one and includes musicians such as Testament, Foxygen or Gaslight Anthem and also publications of major names known by Saddle Creek Publishing. In cooperation with "Cassette Store Day" there will be many music stores after the whole world opened its doors with the aim of celebrating the aforementioned musical medium. Last year's celebration was quite distinctly full list of musicians, who wanted to participate, despite the fact that, according to many music labels, we are talking about a "completely outdated" method of audio distribution.
Audio cassettes they are unlike their younger brother CD player (compact disc) much cheaper, easier to record and much more robust, and above all they give the warm feeling of home recorded "mixes".
