The Castle Days 2017 in May bring three days of varied events to the Ljubljana Castle for the whole family. Between May 19 and 21, 2017, we will remember for the seventh time the event when the then visionary mayor Ivan Hribar bought the Ljubljana Castle from Austria-Hungary for 60,200 kroner, which thus became the property of the city of Ljubljana. In honor of the event, a variety of free events for the whole family are planned on Grajské grič.
Castle Days 2017 will take place this year between 19 and 21 May 2017. Then we will once again remember the landmark event from May 16, 1905, when it's Ljubljana Castle the then mayor Ivan Hribar purchased from the state authorities. The visionary mayor had with him ambitious plans, which are being realized a good century after passing into the hands of the city. Hribar wanted to turn it into something important the cultural center of the Slovenian capital, and with numerous cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, dances, theater performances, thematic lectures, film screenings, etc.), his vision lives on today.

As part of the already seven castle days, there is promise at Ljubljana Castle loads of free events suitable for the whole family. Attention! The number of places is limited. Free tickets you can get it from May 15, 2017 (until vacancies are filled) at the sales points of Ljubljana Castle and Krekov Square. Each person can collect a maximum of four tickets.
