Franja Marathon 2016 – already the 35th cycling festival in the hunt for new records

Franja Marathon 2016 is approaching. The biggest recreational cycling event in Slovenia will take place this year for the 35th year in a row! At the three-day event (from June 11 to 12, 2016), when a river of cyclists will flow through Ljubljana and its surroundings - young, old, perfectly, well and slightly less prepared - five cycling trials will take place. The holiday will traditionally open Friday's time trial from Ljubljana to Domžale, and the action will reach its boiling point on Sunday, when Velika (156 km) and Mala Franja (97 km) will be on the schedule. In Sandwich, there will also be a family-school marathon and a test for children in BTC.

Dirt Dessert 2016 – mountainboarding on the slopes of Kranj

Dirt Dessert 2016 is already the second such event, which after last year's successful performance on June 18, 2016 is getting a sequel. It is an international sports event that will welcome the best mountainboard drivers from Europe and the rest of the world. "Mountainboarding?" you probably asked yourself. It is a young, attractive and fastest growing snowboarding sport, which is a mixture of skating and snowboarding with elements of sports such as BMX and mountain biking. Smoking will not only take place on the track, but also from the grill, where they will be baking čevapčičes. The event is once again organized by the Alternative Sports Club K360 Kranj.
