Concert: Cat Power in Šiška Cinema

American musician Chan Marshall, better known in the music world as Cat Power, will perform in Slovenia for the first time on September 10, 2016. In 1994, Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) and Tim Foljahn (Two Dollar Guitar) discovered the then-unknown Marshall, which was performing as a support group for Liz Phair. Over the next two years, Marshall released albums Dear Sir and Myra Lee with Steve and Tim.

SladoLent 2016: Lent once again hosts the biggest festival of street food in Slovenia

SladoLent was a peripheral event of the Lent Festival six years ago, but today it is hard to imagine Lent without it. SladoLent 2016 is therefore a logical continuation of the culinary story written by top chefs and a crowd of people who rush to this culinary festival in Maribor like the Drava river rushes after a storm. Between June 24 and July 2, 2016, it will host as many as 27 chefs who will once again turn Maribor into the culinary capital of Slovenia.

Desert Trip Festival with many rock legends!

On October 7 at sunrise, the legendary Bob Dylan will open the Coachella Valley Desert Trip Festival, the first and only event of its kind. MetalDays 2016 in Tolmin

This summer too, the Tolmin floor will shake to the sounds of major metal bands. MetalDays 2016 in Tolmin is expecting more than 60 bands this time, which will provide an unforgettable experience between July 24 and 30, 2016. Skateboard 2016 – the spirit of California in the middle of Kranj

Franja Marathon 2016 – already the 35th cycling festival in the hunt for new records

Franja Marathon 2016 is approaching. The biggest recreational cycling event in Slovenia will take place this year for the 35th year in a row! At the three-day event (from June 11 to 12, 2016), when a river of cyclists will flow through Ljubljana and its surroundings - young, old, perfectly, well and slightly less prepared - five cycling trials will take place. The holiday will traditionally open Friday's time trial from Ljubljana to Domžale, and the action will reach its boiling point on Sunday, when Velika (156 km) and Mala Franja (97 km) will be on the schedule. In Sandwich, there will also be a family-school marathon and a test for children in BTC.
