So much for eternal love. On June 1, 2015, workers began removing the locks on the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris, the "locomotive" of the bridge of love trend, which began in Italy and which was also joined by the Butcher Bridge in Ljubljana. For now, this is not threatened by the fate of the Parisian, who almost collapsed last year under the weight of chained locks, which symbolize eternal love. These are now definitively retreating to the glass fence, which will make further romantic "vandalism" impossible.
History and unfortunately also the 21st century have shown us how fragile national borders are, even though we like to imagine them as concrete facts. That's why there are as many different borders as there are countries. From them, we can understand what kind of neighborly relations the countries have with each other, at least at the political level. Check the borders between individual countries around the world. Unfortunately, in some places they are still hermetically sealed, while in others the border is just a letter on paper.
Traveling is always a fun and exciting experience, but getting through the airport can sometimes be a real nightmare. It can happen that we are greeted by an unbearably long line, unfriendly staff or a flight delay at the airport. That is why we have prepared some useful tips to make your next flight easier.
They say that the street in Porto Alegre, the capital of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, is the most beautiful street in the world, and it would be hard to argue with them. Why? Take a look at our tree row photo gallery and it will be clear to you immediately. Both sides of the street are lined with trees, some of which reach up to the seventh floor of nearby buildings. What makes it even more beautiful and valuable is the fact that only buildings "grow" behind the trees, so it's nice to see that at least these trees have survived in this concrete jungle.
The long-awaited picnic season has arrived. Of course, it's best at home, in the home garden, and we still have everything at hand. But now and then a trip around our beautiful Slovenia will not hurt us, where we will quickly find a corner for a picnic. It's good to know where we can picnic and where we can't. So where to go for a picnic in Slovenia? In other words, where can we find a good "place" for a great picnic!?!
We Slovenians like to complain about Slovenian roads, saying that they are full of dangerous sections, but despite this, we are far from having the "privilege" of owning the craziest roads in the world. We have collected some of the most dramatic, dizzying, dangerous, winding, crazy and "drunk" roads that cling to hills, mountain walls, wind along the coast, the desert, the middle of nowhere, etc. and which demand full attention from the driver while paving the way. Of course, their bravery is duly rewarded with spectacular views.
Have you ever dreamed of driving a tank? For sure. Especially if you ever walked around Tivoli as a child and passed the Museum of Recent History of Slovenia or if you ever watched a movie by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now it is possible. Where else than in the USA, where the Drive a Tank company offers tank driving to civilians as well. Different packages are available where you can experience different tanks and shoot with modern or weapons from some other times.
Although we can never be bored on a bike in Slovenia and the variety of cycling routes can satisfy just about every taste, sometimes it's fun to go across the border as well. That's why this time we present to you the seven best cycling routes in the world, which are also interesting for motoring trips, but which do not reach the knees from a bicycle perspective.
