Architect Jeffrey Pelletier turned the basement of his house in Seattle into Lego heaven, where we can find around 250 thousand different pieces of Lego bricks. Can you imagine having this as a kid? Anyway, Lego blocks marked the childhood of many children, including Pelletier's. Last but not least, it is their "fault" that he is an architect today. Unlike most architects, he not only visualizes his ideas in AutoCAD, but also builds them from Lego bricks. This was also the case with the house in which he lives and where the Lego basement is located.

Remember when, right before the Sochi Olympics, a photo of two side-by-side toilets without a partition wall circulated online? Toilets quickly became the target of ridicule and one can only wonder what was going through the minds of the architects. Is the culture in Russia so different from what we are used to? Well, as you'll see in the series of photos below, some of the other architects have a really weird sense of humor too.
Slovenia did not go unnoticed at Milan Expo 2015, as professional architectural publications write enthusiastically about our exhibition space or pavilion. The pavilion is designed in five prismatic shapes, placed on a geometrically varied surface, which with its shape resembles a working surface. The pavilion represents Slovenian geographical landscapes and symbolizes the growth of fundamental ideas of sustainable development. The slogan “I FEEL SLOVENIA. Green. Active. Healthy.”

Rare portable grills are truly portable. They are either clunky, heavy, or take a long time to cool down. The GoBQ grill does not suffer from any of these faults. It is compact, light and foldable, as it is made of flexible silicone glass fibers that can withstand extremely high temperatures. It can be assembled in just 20 seconds and requires no tools, and it folds like a camping chair. You can order it on Indiegogo.
The idea that a bin can make your life easier sounds silly, but only until you see Bruno in action. It is the world's first smart trash can that is also a vacuum cleaner. It is not just a storage room for collecting waste, but in connection with a smartphone it makes sure that you do not run out of garbage bags, warns you when the bin is full and makes sure that you never miss the collection of waste. In addition, it has a vacuum slot at the bottom, which vacuums everything you have swept into the bag. Have you heard of that dump? Get it on Kickstarter.
The series of photographs "Lonely Houses" is almost as old as the photographer "Sejkko", who has been capturing lonely Portuguese houses, houses and cottages in his photographic lens since he was a child.
Architecture from the mid-20th century has not stood the test of time. People didn't love her. This is especially true for ex-communist countries in Europe and Central Asia. The communist ideology, which flowed through all phases of life there, was imposed and consolidated through socialist architecture, among other things. This gave not only boring, but sometimes also extremely bizarre objects. Some of them are still standing 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Roasting meat on special La Caja China grills is more than just baking. It is an experience, it is a ritual, it is a culture. These are special "box" grills made in the USA, which enable an old-fashioned way of preparing food, which cuts the meat preparation time in half. Unlike the grills we are familiar with, these allow roasting a whole pig and other animals. The most famous American housewife, Martha Stewart, also has her own.
Atacama Expedition Motorcycle is already the third generation of Redverz tents, which are intended for motorcyclists and their steel horses. Elon Musk, the father of the electric car brand Tesla, is not nicknamed the Steve Jobs of the automobile for nothing. He proved this once more when he introduced the Tesla Powerwall batteries, which have the ability to store solar energy. These would or will power homes, businesses, maybe even the entire world. By being able to store the energy of solar cells for later use, which until now has been the biggest obstacle in the use of renewable energy sources, they are changing not only the "producer" of electricity, but the very course of history.
