Konjiške sparkling wines come from the arched sparkling wine cellar of Žička Kartuzia, built in the 12th century, where they ripen at a natural temperature of 8 ℃ in all seasons. The grapes for them are grown only in selected areas of the Škalce estate, and the basis for them is the isolated Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay or Modra Francinja varieties. They mature on yeast for at least 24 months, exclusively in the 850-year-old Carthusian wine cellar.
