CES 2015: Sony Symphony - a lamp that's also a speaker

Technology becomes miraculous when it disappears. The best inventions are natural, a perfect blend of functionality and purpose, freed from cables and sharp edges, i.e. everything that betrays them as artificial. The Sony Symphony lamp is such a technology. It is a table lamp that can transform into a chandelier, and its "hidden" talent is a wireless speaker, so that it offers sound in addition to light.

Sony Symphony otherwise, it is not the only light source that can give more than just light. Sony has hidden similar technology in the new one LED bulb and a floor lamp, but none of them are as stylish as Symphony.

Surround sound it's crystal clear and the music delivered wirelessly. With it, Sony continues or expands the philosophy/vision started with the Life Space UX concept in a wonderful way, that technology is best where it is not noticed. And Symphony, which is a speaker like table lamp or chandelier or vice versa, lamp as loudspeaker, multitasking is just that, as it makes something more out of the living space.

The lamp itself was inspired by old-school lamps, glass structure but in addition to the aesthetic, it also has a technical function, as it carries Sony's vertical speaker technology, about which we do not know anything more than the name. We know, however, that Symphony is compatible with the Life Space UX concept, which aims for everything to be connected and centrally managed from the "headquarters", i.e. applications on smartphone.
