While 4K resolution has been well established recently, the development is already a step further. The next logical step is four times as many points, or a format known as 8K. This type of screen was also presented by Dell at CES 2017. The UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K has 33 million dots and is capable of displaying a billion colors.
Dell presented at CES 2017 32 inch computer screen resolution 8K (7680 x 4320) with 33.2 million points (as much as it has four 4K screens or 16 Full HD screens) and a density of 280 ppi. With screen UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K, which is capable of displaying 1.07 billion colors. Dell is targeting business users who have until now the best choice in the Apple display 5K Retina for iMac.

Of course, all those colors and pixels won't come cheap. You will have to pay approx. 4700 euros. The normal user does not even need such a multitude, so this kind level of detail it comes in handy in areas where even the smallest detail is important. It will be available from March 23, 2017 further. The standard was also presented at CES HDMI 2.1, which supports 8K resolution.
