They established a partnership in the field of autonomous driving, where NVIDIA will provide the technology that Volkswagen needs for the production of the modern Bully or ID Buzz with the help of the Xavier chip.
Volkswagen announced that he would use it in the future NVIDIA Platform IX and installed it in his cars, including ID Buzz. Volkswagen will use the IX technology to make a smart copilot, which will be both useful and a handy assistant. They will help him make decisions sensors, which will be installed both outside the car and inside the car itself. And since the system will be intelligent, it will also be capable learn by yourself. He will be able to correctly assess individual traffic situations and will able to analyze the behavior of other drivers in traffic.
The Volkswagen ID Buzz is the rebirth of a Volkswagen legend that has modern touch and represents a new era of motoring. Besides electric drive there is still autonomous, which further testifies to his progress. Artificial intelligence technology will be found outside and inside the car, it will also have systems for virtual reality, which will be based on the NVIDIA platform. The Volkswagen ID Buzz will see production in the year 2022, and NVIDIA will reward systems for facial recognition, gesture recognition and communicating in a common language.
NVIDIA will also work with I take Uber, which has been testing NVIDIA's autonomous driving systems for some time. In the future, NVIDIA will provide Uber with support for artificial intelligence and autonomous driving systems used by Uber's driverless taxis.
