5120 x 1440 resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, HDR 1000 support, QLED technology... Need we say more? This is Samsung's new Odyssey G9 monitor.
Samsung started 2020 with an emphasis on gaming, in the form of an announcement of an absolutely huge gaming monitor Odyssey G9, which will be presented at the fair CES 2020. Monitor diagonally 124 centimeters and is therefore larger than many living room TVs. A case of "ultrawide” monitor, meaning the image will be on it much wider than tall (aspect ratio 32:9). But it will offer all the goodies that QLED screens also offer. So exceptional color accuracy, fast response time and high brightness, which will be perfect for HDR content.
The monitor, which will literally hug you, will be curved according to the standard 1000R, will enable so FreeSync 2 like G-Sync, refreshed at the frequency 240 Hz and offered response time only 1 millisecond. This monitor is no joke, it is Samsung on the back side built in some kind of huge RGB light (infinity core), which resembles the reactor that Iron Man himself carries in his chest. In addition to the G9, Samsung presented another model G7, which will significantly smaller and lower resolutions, but will still retain the typical gaming features of its bigger brother. The price not yet revealed, but this one for the G9 model will definitely be higher than last year's CRG9 model, which currently costs around 1,300 euros.
