CES 2020: Samsung presented the cheapest premium phones, Galaxy S10 Lite and Note10 Lite

At CES 2020, Samsung surprised and presented the affordable representatives of the Note and S families, namely the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note10 Lite.

February 11 this year is reserved for the unveiling of new smartphones from the Galaxy S family. But we are already a few days after the new year at the fair CES 2020 got a new representative of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note families. It's a kind of cut-down version of both phones, which is why they both bear the labels "Lit“.

Outwardly, the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note10 Lite are very similar. They have the same screen size (6.7 inches), whose resolution will be 2400x1080 and which will not be rounded on the sides. They also kept the screen hole for the selfie camera. Maybe they will be chosen with 6 GB or 8 GB of working memory, and out of the box they will offer 128 GB memory and battery size 4,500 mAh. The Galaxy Note10 Lite will feature a processor Exynos, and the Galaxy S10 Lite Snapdragon 855, which are quite fast processors for phones that should fall into the lower to mid-range price range.

The biggest difference between the two is the cameras. The Galaxy S10 Lite will offer main camera with a resolution of 48 MP, ultra wide camera with 12 MP resolution and a camera for 5 MP macro shots. Among other things, the main camera will offer a never-before-seen feature on both devices Super Steady OIS. The cameras on the Galaxy Note10 Lite will all in 12MP resolution, but it will replace the macro camera telephoto camera. Note will be richer for With Pen and 3.5mm output for headphones, which the Galaxy S10 Lite will not receive.

A lot of people are scratching their heads a little at these two phones, because on the one hand, they don't make much sense. Mainly because it has Samsung already a line of phones that should fill this price gap: the Galaxy A series. For the record, they also presented the phone at CES 2020 Galaxy A71, which is very similar to the mentioned phones. On the one hand, it makes sense for Samsung to offer benefits such as the use of the S Pen even for a lower price, and on the other hand, the S and Note labels should only apply to premium devices. Well, Samsung already knows what it's doing. Both models can be expected on the shelves soon, Galaxy Note10 Lite will stand 599 euros, Galaxy S10 Lite well 649 euros.
