The exhibition in the Austrian National Library in Vienna still smells fresh, where children tell history through photographs captured in the lens between 1870 and 1970.
The latest exhibition "Children, how time flies! Little princes and big girls in historical photos" in the Austrian National Library in Vienna shows the most beautiful photographs of children between 1870 and 1970. There are more than 250 photographs, graphics, watercolors, school records and children's books on display. Some of the photographs, which show both children's relaxation and playfulness as well as an early confrontation with reality, will be on display for the first time. These are photographs of children taken in the area of historical or present-day Austria and provide an interesting socio-cultural historical insight into the everyday life of that time. The exhibition is divided into thematic sections and brings together a huge variety of glimpses. First jeans, first bug, first kiss on a park bench, unemployment, wars, economic crisis...
