Annual cinema on Congress Square 2016 will open the restored and digitized version of the Slovenian film Franco Štiglic's Valley of Peace (celebratory premiere on the 60th anniversary of the film and the 25th anniversary of the country), which will also be held in the company of the two main actors - Eveline Wohlfeiler and Tug Štiglic.
He will hand over the screen to the film Wes Anderson's Wonderful Fox, animated adaptations of Roald Dahl's literary classic, and the curtain on the action will drop with the screening of the film Last minute solution, which will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Slovenian Cinematheque and will be accompanied live on the piano Neil Brand, one of the leading silent film companions.
The tradition of showing films on the Congress Square has a long tradition, as the first screenings date back a long time the year 1941. Like a phoenix from the ashes, the event rose in 2014, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Ljubljana cinema Kinodvor.
