A man is left alone with his two children in a half-destroyed house in the middle of a lonely plain. His wife has just been killed by a shell in a military conflict. He expects another attack. Instead, a traveling caravan of the Fantasticus circus stops by the house. Can something beautiful happen in a landscape of war and death? Can life move forward?
