Just as a cactus cannot live in drought and heat, the Citroën Cactus M study cannot live in living water, as the car is waterproof. It is a lively concept that exudes the free spirit of the legendary Méhari model, considered one of the most cute and simple cars of this French brand, and it grew out of the C4 Cactus model and another Aircross study, which was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April.
Citroën has become again from an imitator dictator, who dares. And study Citroën Cactus M, which is a slightly more playful version of the serial model C4 Cactus, is new proof of that. It is a kind of distant successor of the Méhari model (the M in the name indicates this very kinship), a vehicle that has been withdrawn from production in 1986, 22 years after its creation and from which it takes over the baton vehicles for the beach. But the car's characteristics testify to the fact that it is not just a symbolic connection. She is one of those windshield with a 60-degree slope (hence the squat look) and a single wiper.
The interior is waterproof and full of plugs (read pins) that the engineers installed so that the water at the bottom has somewhere to drain, seats but they are made of the same material as waterproof suits (neoprene, because it is soft and waterproof). The front doors are plastic, but the Cactus M got rid of the rear doors. He is here instead of them a footrest that allows easier access over the side of the car to the back bench. Hooks were also hidden, while soft roof, which can only be installed manually, is hidden behind the back door. But why would it, when the roof on our heads can be made by surfboards or soups, which we attach to roof arch (see video). Nevertheless, you will be innovative with it canvas roof that inflates, safer from rain and in general.
In addition to all the treats, among others modular passenger cabins (the rear seats can be "leveled with the ground" and this part converted into a bed and covered with a canvas roof so that you feel like in a tent), also has most of the equipment from the C4 Cactus (e.g. touch screen and "easypush" shifter switch). Unfortunately, the study has no ambitions for serial production, but many of its ideas can find their way into future Citroën models.

Citroën Cactus M is powered by gasoline 1.2 liter Pure Tech 110 S&S engine, which includes the system Stop&Start, power to large Tall & Narrow tires but transfers 6-speed gearbox. It is here for even better control of the vehicle "Grip Control" system, which brings additional agility, while the wheel slip control system provides optimal traction in a given situation.
