The new Kia XCeed crossover, which has already hit Slovenian roads, represents an alternative to traditional sports SUVs, as it offers a comparable level of spaciousness for passengers and luggage.
KIA XCeed it is based on its smaller brother, the Ceed model. In fact, it shares quite a lot with it: the driver's door, suspension, powertrains and almost the entire dashboard. Indeed, it is XCeed slightly higher, wider and longer Ceed. While the Ceed rivals cars like the Ford Focus and Golf, the XCeed is an alternative to cars like the Volkswagen T-Cross, Skoda Karoq and Ford Focus Active.
They are available three gasoline turbo engines. Three-cylinder 1.0 with 88 kW (120 hp), four-cylinder 1.4 with 103 kW (140 hp) and 1.6-liter with 150 kW (204 hp). In addition to gasoline units, it is available diesel engine Smartstream. The 1.6 liter Smartstream is available in two versions with an output of 85 kW (115 hp) or 100 kW (136 hp). There are two to choose from 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission.
The XCeed's longer rear overhang means there's plenty of boot space 426 liters, which is 31 liters more than the regular Ceed. With the rear seats folded down, the volume increases to 1,378 liters. The entry model will cost around 22 thousand euros, but of course it will come with Kia's 7-year warranty.
