The Mercedes-Benz EQV will prove that even in the segment of luxury vans, the electric drive can be completely competitive.
Mercedes-Benz will present at the Frankfurt Motor Show the first luxury van, which will drive it exclusively electricity. It is a van with a tag EQV, and it is based on an already well-known and extremely popular one class V. Electric motor with power 150 kW is installed on the front axle, and it draws energy from a lithium-ion battery with capacity 90 kWh. This means that it will be enough for up to 405 kilometers driven, to charge from 10 to 80%, and we'll be on fast charging stations needed less than an hour. EQV has enough space for up to 8 passengers and enables unhindered use of the luggage compartment, as the battery is 'stored' in the bottom van.
The design of the Mercedes-Benz EQV is almost identical to the V-Class, but the differences are found where you would expect them for an electric vehicle. An opening on the left side hides a smart, water-cooled power supply with 11 kW powers. Mobility for a larger number of passengers has become environmental with the EQV model kinder, but at the same time she didn't compromise on luxury, which we are in this class used to.
