The mysterious karstic lake Divje jezero (Wild lake) nearby Idrija is one of the gems of Slovenia's natural heritage. The lake is hidden in the rocky hollow and connected to the underground water currents. Divers have reached a depth of 160 m below the surface and have not yet found the bottom of the lake. The water from the lake flows into the Idrijca as Slovenia's shortest river Jezernica (55 m long). #igslovenia #visitslovenia #ifeelslovenia #centralslovenia #geoslo #thisisslovenia #placestovisit #theslovenia #amazing_places #igposocje #idrija #wildlake #divjejezero #naturephotography #natureshooters #nature_perfection #naturelovers #topsloveniaphoto #nature_geography #landscape_shots #ig_europe #ig_nature #ignaturesfinest #yourshotphotographer #bns_nature #earthpix #earthfocus #ig_shotz

The pearl of Slovenian natural heritage awaits you near the town of Idrija. It is one of the smallest and most mysterious lakes with us. In 1967 it was protected as a natural monument and since 1972 it has been arranged for visitors as the first Slovenian nature museum. So far, it has been explored to a depth of 160 meters, and the temperature in it fluctuates between 7 and 10°C throughout the year.

Lawrence Lakes

The Lovrenška lakes, also the Lovrenška pearls, are undoubtedly just that - a pearl of natural beauty. A pleasant hiking trail to the Lovren Lakes (there are 20 of them, the maximum depth is 1.2 meters) leads through the Rogla plains, through a quiet forest and endlessly rewards us with a view of a strong green ruin, through which peep lakes in which white water lilies bloom in summer. The Lawrence Lakes are the largest high bog in Slovenia and one of the most important in southern Europe, which is why they are a specially protected part of the largest Slovenian forest reserve.
