Sony's legendary brand of Walkman music players, which has sold as many as 400 million units worldwide, is celebrating 40 years - the Japanese company honored the anniversary with a retro exhibition that will remind you of the times when the Walkman was the only private source of music for your ears .

It's Sony Walkman's 40th birthday celebrated with a special exhibition #009 WALKMAN IN THE PARK 40, which will be held for two months in Tokyo – this focuses mainly on people who have always been unable to imagine life without a Walkman.
The exhibition is divided into two parts. The creators named the first My Story, My Walkman (My story, my Walkman) – it consists of 40 exhibited devices, with each of them representing the story of a famous person, who contributed her own playlist to the project.
Visitors can also take a look Walkman Wall (Walkman wall), which includes approx 230 versions of Walkman players, spread over the entire 40-year history.
