We started in Slovenia summer time use March 27, 1983. The date is slightly different each year as the clock shift occurs the last Sunday in March or the first in April, while we switch to standard time the last Sunday in September or the first in October. In the spring time, we move the clock to make better use of daylight, or to sleep as little as possible when it's light outside, and the emphasis is also on saving heat and electricity. Clock shift today uses most countries, but these are not aligned.
