2020 second movement of the clock, shift to winter time 2020, and we are waiting for the last Sunday in October, so we will move the hands from 3:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. October 25, 2020.
Is the 2020 clock shift to summer and winter time the last in history?
This supposed to be the last movement of the clock - it is supposed to be stopped next year, in 2021, and EU members should decide for themselves which time - summer or winter - will apply in the country, and at the same time reach a compromise within the EU that will ensure that there will be no fragmentation of time zones. Whether this will be true is not yet clear. The proposal to stop moving the clock was supposed to be in abeyance as recently as last October.
Summer time otherwise, it was established in order to save energy, especially during the war and the oil crisis in the 1970s. Today, this is less and less important, as various studies have shown that these savings are negligible, and the residents are disturbed by the negative effects that this type of movement has on health.
Although Slovenians are also said to be more in favor of summer time, according to experts, it would be better if they chose winter time (mainly due to the geographical location and biological influences on humans).
