The generation of the Beatles and Woodstock probably also remembers the French resort of La Grande Motte, which, despite the most popular band and festival, is still in operation. Architect and philosopher Jean Balladur designed and built this famous resort in the 60s and 70s of the last century, for which he drew inspiration from his travels. He designed Skultpure mainly in the shapes of irregular circle, triangle and trapezoid.
From 2013 the resort invites designers to revive with their ideas Balladur's ghost and continue the city's legacy with their creations. This time they invited 5.5 design studio, who took to work with joy. They say that they wanted to revive mainly accessories for the beach, such as pillows, sunshades, towels, deckchairs and toys. And if they wanted to truly relive and capture Balladur's idea, they had to use the same geometric characters. Shades and plastic models for sand 'cakes' both look like pyramids. "Acapulco" the deckchairs are firmly embedded in the sand and provide excellent support for your back while you lie on a "le provence" towel. "Poseidon" cushions, which are made of polyurethane, resemble a building by the beach. Metal "Mottois" tables of different colors are 'anchored' deep into the ground and come in handy if you want to protect sunglasses and books from the hot sand.
