British indie pop trio Alt-J, champions of the new quiet, subtle sympho-rock wave of experimental indie structure and recipients of the prestigious mercury music award, are coming to the Stadhalle in Vienna on November 25th.
The cast Alt-J were founded in 2007 by then students of the British University of Leeds. In May 2012, they released their first album An Awesome Wave, who got Britain's top music awards and critical acclaim. This is their meteoric success, which after four years turned them from completely unknown youngsters into stars, only fueled it.

Their second album This Is All Yours, which experienced some personnel upheaval due to the departure of the bassist, was released last September and immediately climbed to first places charts in Great Britain. The album is a mix of troubadour singing, weird polyphony, but stays true to the mix of guitar rock, folk and electronica. We do not dare to claim that it is pop, the album can at most be characterized as the pleasant banter of the cast members.
