Madonna, one of the most recognizable names in pop music, an icon who can easily be called the queen of pop, will tour North America and Europe this year to promote her latest album Rebel Heart, which was released in March this year. On November 7 and 8, the tour will also stop in Prague, Czech Republic.
Today she is 56 years old Madonna started her career at the age of seventeen in New York, where she wanted to establish herself in contemporary dance. After performing as a member of the pop groups Breakfast Club and Emmy, she released her self-titled debut album in 1983 and went on to record three consecutive studio albums in the 1980s (Like a Virgin (1984), True Blue (1987) and Like a Prayer (1989)), who all climbed to number one on the Billboard 200.
From the very beginning of her musical career, she stirred spirits with various controversial artistic outbursts and with just such statements, with which she often actually destroyed prejudices and taboos. In 1992, she founded the entertainment industry company Maverick, within the framework of which she published a book of photographs (Sex). She also released a studio album Erotica (1992) and appeared in a film with an erotic theme (Incriminating Evidence). This kind of public appearance brought her negative publicity and a decline in commercial sales in the 1990s, but the release of an album in 1998 brought her renewed success Ray of Light, which also received critical acclaim. A critical album brought her to the top of the music charts again to American politics American Life (2003) and dance oriented Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005), which only confirmed her superiority in pop music.

The next two albums Hard Candy (2008) and MDNA (2012) were not so well received by critics or audiences; at the time, this tended to appeal to slightly younger pop stars, although Madonna, now at the tender age of 56, can still easily compete with them in terms of physical fitness. Her last album Rebel Heart (2015) brings somewhat fresher and more positive movements, ranging from the classic pop tradition of Madonna to different mixes of new dance genres, with the help of DJ Diplo or Kanye West, and in her videos, following the example of the younger star Taylor Swift, she has included some world-famous musical names such as Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Rita Ora.
Among other things, Madonna appeared in as many as 22 films. Although quite a few of them have failed both critically and commercially, it is for the role in the film Evita received a Golden Globe in 1996.
