John Roger Stephens, better known as John Legend, is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He received it nine Grammys and in 2007 a special award Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
At first, John Legend planned a somewhat more conventional career path, namely he completed his studies in English and then got a job as a consultant in a company. Before he started doing music, he joined New York and Washington club scenes, where he also started performing. His debut solo album Get Lifted was released in 2004, followed by an album two years later Once Again, released an album in 2008 Evolver and last year's album Love in the Future.

The third single from the self-titled album "All Of Me" reached number one on the iTunes chart as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The song is a ballad dedicated to his wife Chrissy Teigen.
