50 years old Mark Lanegan, who released his ninth studio album last October Phantom Radio, has lined up a bunch of productive collaborations in his career, ranging from Nirvana (Lanegan's rendition of Leadbelly's Where Did You Sleep Last Night survived and actually served as the basis for Cobain's later famous Nirvana version) to Queens of the Stone Age (where he participated in as many as five albums). He joined them after the breakup of his legendary band Screaming Trees. The singer also participated in the records of musicians such as UNKLE, Martina-Topley Bird, Moby, Soulsavers, Melissa Auf der Maur, Bomb the Bass, Mad Season and Creature With The Atom Brain.

“Mark Lanegan deserves to be elevated among the champions of contemporary rock music, and perhaps Phantom Radio is the album that will finally force that shift in public perception. Unlike most goth pop, Lanegan's creations are not a matter of fashion or lipstick, but a genuine cry from the heart, so rare and beautiful that it has no equal in music.” – The Independent

Mark Lanegan is coming with a concert to the Lauba gallery in Zagreb February 27 at 7 p.m. The ticket price for the concert is 16 euros.
