Roxette, the Swedish masters of pop music, with countless gold and platinum awards, are on tour again. Fans will have the opportunity to hear the biggest hits of the 80s and 90s also live, if we go to Vienna on July 8, where Roxette will give a concert and revive their biggest hits.
Roxette, a Swedish music duo that creates pop and rock songs, consists of a guitarist Per Gessle and a singer Marie Fredriksson. Their first album Pearls of Passion were released in 1986. The opening song “I Call Your Name” became a worldwide hit, and the songs also achieved high popularity "The Look", "Listen To Your Heart" and "Dressed for Success". The Swedish duo Roxette created their true image with an extremely well-crafted album Joyride, which was created in 1991. Based on this record, many singles followed, among which the hit "Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)" and "Spending My Time". Until 2012, they released more 12 albums, among other things, they contain hits such as: "You Don't Understand Me", “Crash! Boom! Bang!” and "Wish I Could Fly". In 2002, Marie Fredriksson was diagnosed with a brain tumor and the chances of the band ever appearing on stage again were slim. But the singer managed to overcome the disease and during 2009 all the pieces gradually came together.
Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle have more than 70 million albums sold, but at the same time they represent a nostalgic memory of a period when the pop band had not yet equated with creatures of the Lady Gaga breed.
