The American music artist and punk rock diva Patti Smith will extend her current European tour into the fall and, as part of a new cycle of concerts, will also be a guest in our neighborhood, namely on December 5th she will perform in Vidmo, Italy, at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine.
Patti Smith is an artist in her mid-seventies with an album "Horses" became one of the pillars of the awakening New York punk movement, and by the end of the seventies she had released several more successful albums, which cemented her among the cream of the crop of the greatest proto punk/art rock artists of her time. She is known for her unique combination of lyricism and poetics through music and, in recent decades, for her peace activism.

Two years ago she published new studio album "Banga", which has been intensively presented on concert stages around the world since its release. Patti Smith has also been writing a new book since last year, after hers was very well received by the public literary debut "Pač mulca" (in the original “Just Kids”). The book was also published in a Slovenian translation and can be found in some well-stocked bookstores.
The tour will be something special, as they will be standing on stage for the first time all three members of Patti's family: in addition to her, her sons Jesse Jackson, and they will be accompanied on guitar by Patti's longtime team member Tony Shanahan.
