At the beginning of the new year, you should not miss one of the last concerts of Polona Kasal, who is performing her critically acclaimed solo debut of Tomaž Pengov's adaptations, On the Road, on January 15 at Siti Teatra BTC.
The duo that Kasalova creates live with a music producer and a multimedia artist KALU (Luka Uršič), takes over live with a concrete sound performance, which is continued by Polona's recognizable vocals woven into the dynamics of intimate electronic melodies and waves of low bass frequencies.
Polona Kasal, which many still spontaneously associate with the pop band Gušti and Polona and with their now almost fake pop pieces Mine leto, Vedud zame, Makova Polje, at the end of the previous year, she showed that this type of activity is just flat-rate.
Solo debut On the road is therefore a project of selected and carefully considered musical and visual ideas, which in an unusual but more than fortunate combination of songs Tomaž Pengova, electronics and interesting visuals result in a fresh and inspiring product.

The record features interesting names from the independent music scene such as Luka Jamnik (Laibach) Saša Vollmaier and Aldo Ivančič (Borghesia), a sporadic trio that, according to Kasalova, had the greatest influence on her creative process.
Polona Kasal's debut is also interesting from a visual point of view, as Polona co-created as many as four music videos for it. A pop piece Dana they are with the video director Saša Hessom sent to the bosom of the Slovenian mountain world, while the video for the legendary Pengov's Cesta Polona was compiled from his own travel recordings. The album cover was designed by a graphic designer Mina Fina.
Polona Kasal and KALU will perform in SiTi Teatru BTC on January 15 at 8 p.m. The ticket price is 15 euros, and on the day of the concert 18 euros.
