The tireless punk-cabaret entertainment freaks The Tiger Lillies are returning to Kino Šiška after more than three years. Their songs cover all dark aspects of life - from prostitution and drug addiction to violence and despair. A perverted sense of humor and sharp irony are always present.
The cast The Tiger Lillies, which will perform in Ljubljana for the fifth time, is in 1989 founded by an English musician Martyn Jacques, who is the trio's main songwriter and singer and harmonica player. The band is completed by a double bassist Adrian Stout, who occasionally plays the saw and theremin, as well as a drummer and percussionist Adrian Huge. The cast performs alternative cabaret music, which is completely unique both in terms of style and performances. Besides surrealist approach they mark it dark humor, grotesque jokes and interweaving cabaret elements with sharpness punk.
