Everyone chooses their own colors. But what if the shades of our clothes could change according to changes in the environment?
Award-winning alchemist Lauren Bowker, art house owner The Unseen, has been developing unique inks for a long time, changing the color of geda to different climatic conditions. She also impregnated her latest feathered collection PHNX with it, which constantly changes shades depending on light, heat, moisture and friction in the air, revealing the entire RGB color scale. At the beginning of December, the artist already presented some luxurious fashion pieces and sculptures at the Wearable Features conference, where she explained that feathers represent the birth of the new, which goes through the spirituality of dark and light periods. The inspiring collection will come to life in full at London Fashion Week in February.
But the story of miraculous effects does not end here. Bowker has also begun developing an ink called PdCl2 that responds to pollution in the air. He also notes that each ink works differently on individual materials, and by determining the environmental conditions, he can even adjust the shades to an individual location. In the future, he wants to contribute with his alchemical innovations in the medical field, where, for example, the color of a T-shirt could signal an upcoming asthma attack. We are definitely looking forward to her further creations.
