But Ruban succeeded, 3 years ago the first collection, practical and feminine at the same time, saw the light of day, and since then Moscow dresses a little nicer, and sisters Alisa and Julia Ruban also fight much less.
Sister Ruban created their brand in 2010 Ruban, and a year later his second line Ruban Style. In the foreground is Ruban Alice, which bets on the best materials such as leather, silk and cashmere. The sisters entered the world of fashion as fashion stylists and after many years of experience venture into the world of design. In styling, they discovered what could be discovered and learned. "We are tired of editorial styling and celebrity dressing. We felt the need to express ourselves through clothes and embark on an independent journey." they explained in 2011, a year after they presented their first collection. They admit that their work as stylists brought them exceptional experience, which they successfully put to use in the creation of the first collection and later in the creation of new collections. In this way, they combined their knowledge of different types of fabrics, textures and colors, which they knew exactly how they fit the body and how they look in photographs, with their knowledge of the fashion market. "It may sound strange, but we are inspired by people without style, because we want to show them how to improve the way they dress," they say. The fact that people dress very similarly and that all shops sell the same coats, shoes, handbags... they find it very "depressing". That's why they decided to design things that they themselves would like to see in shops and on the streets of city centers. They create for girls who have the right amount of everything: they are eclectic but not too much, feminine but not super-sexy, and above all they are confident. They focused on clothes for every day, but at the same time redefined the so-called casual look with the aim of refreshing the style of Moscow's young women.
The beginnings were not easy, they quarreled a lot, because they each have their own style and opinion about clothes. They soon realized that this was only an advantage - they tackled each idea from several sides, supplemented and combined them. Their collections are thus a synthesis of ideas, and the pieces, as they say, would be worn by everyone in their own way, in their own style. Beauty of the Ruban brand it is precisely in its practicality and femininity – the lines are clean but at the same time complex, the colors are bright, the materials are natural.
Collection autumn/winter 2013/14
Collection for this year autumn and the coming winter offers a rich but restrained palette of colors, refined and gentler cuts. The word that would best describe it is definitely "sensuality". The combination of natural materials allows for an elegant transition from warmer to cooler weather – leather and cashmere for cooler days, cotton and silk for warmer days. The latest collection is dominated by light tones - from ivory and caramel to sugary shades of green and lilac. The sisters also managed to introduce whiteness into the collection and make it extremely chic. The colors represent the passing seasons, which draw a green-blue landscape that slowly turns into the colors of autumn leaves, and then is covered by a blanket of snow. Cuts in the style of Asian kimonos emphasize the female silhouette. The lines are structured, but the interweaving with softer fabrics that tell the story of the seasons makes them gentler. Elements of nature help develop the collection and emphasize a unique aesthetic that is truly modern.
