The American Global Caravan Technologies has produced the CR-1, the most advanced caravan in the world, whose body is made entirely of carbon fiber. At 2,700 kilograms, it is thus up to 50 percent lighter than trailers of the same size made of steel.
At Global Caravan Technologies (GCT) they made a special trailer that they called CR-1 and which is the most advanced trailer in the world. The main advantage CR-1 trailers is compared to similarly sized competitors in only 2,700 kilograms of dry weight, which is almost half that of trailers, whose shell is made of steel. As a result, consumption when towing is lower than conventional ones trailers due to weight savings, also up to 50 percent lower than classic ones trailers.
A special feature CR-1 trailers in addition to the material, it is also the construction of the shell itself, which does not contain a single screw, making it not only one of the sturdiest, but also one of the safest trailers on the market.
The advantages of carbon fibers compared to classic steel have long been known when used in the automotive industry. The use of this extremely strong and light material in series products or at least more boutique ones is becoming more and more common. We can certainly count among the latter trailer CR-1, the largest product to use only carbon fiber for its body.
When passing inside CR-1 trailers an extremely prestigious interior is revealed to the observer with the use of the best wood and leather, "wall to wall" wardrobes, electrified curtains, a huge bathroom, a power supply system with the help of solar energy (solar panels) with a power of 700 watts, tinted windows and an infotainment system, which supports Android and iOS operating systems.
Of course, the price of the CR-1 trailer is also special, as the "basic" version costs 125,000 euros, while the price of the most richly stocked version is as much as 560,000 euros.
