When designing the current Satsuma chair, Laeufer+Keichel studio found inspiration in wooden crates.

In the studio Laeufer + Keichel they are for a Berlin company Schneiderschram designed chairs for which inspiration was found in simple wooden crates. The chair was given the name Satsuma, which means a citrus tree similar to a mandarin. The lines of the chair are very simple and pleasant to use. The frame of the chair is made of powerful wooden triangular elements, and the latest sanding technology was used in its production.
