Mistakes from the making of cult films that were so good they didn't want to cut them

It happens to the best! See which iconic movie scenes were created due to clumsiness, improvisation, or just forgotten lines by famous actors.

You'll be surprised when we reveal which ones iconic movie scenes they are the result of the "clumsiness" listed above. But only the best players will know how to take advantage of such things and thus create one the best scenes of all time.

Indiana Jones and the Hunt for Lost Treasure (Raiders of the Lost Ark, 1981)

The scene where Indiana Jones meets the warrior with the sword was supposed to be a violent confrontation according to the script. But Harrison Ford just got food poisoning in those days and didn't have the strength to play it the way it should have been. Therefore, the director made a minor change: instead of fighting, Jones will use a gun and shoot the villain. The scene is now considered one of the most iconic in film history.

The Dark Knight (2008)

It's hard to imagine Gordon's progression without the Joker clapping sarcastically. This too was not in the script and is just the product of Ledger's brilliant improvisation.

Rain Man (1988)

Dustin Hoffman farted in a phone booth while filming. Still, he and Tom Cruise stayed in character and made it feel like it was all part of the script. It is this scene that is most endearing to many people today.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

It may not even come as a surprise, but the scene where Matthew McConaughey beats his chest was not part of the script. Matthew revealed that he does this before every shot and that it's a type of relaxation technique. Leonardo DiCaprio suggested that it become part of the movie scene and it was obviously a good decision.

Rocky (1976)

The film didn't have a lot of funding, so those people you see in the background are not extras, but ordinary people on the streets who had no idea they were being filmed. So the scene where Rocky runs across the market and some man throws an orange at him was not in the script.

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

The scene where Mrs. Doubtfire covers her face with cake frosting didn't go as planned. When the flood of hot spotlights began to drip from his face, Robin Williams had to improvise. As Mrs. Sellner poured her tea, he said: "There you go, you've got your cream and your sugar now." (So, you have the cream and sugar you wanted.)

The Godfather (1972)

One of the most famous scenes of the cult film is certainly the one where the mob boss Don Vito Corleone issues brutal orders while stroking a cat in his arms. That wasn't in the script. The cat happened to be on the set and ended up in the actor's hands.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)

In the scene where Eowny is staring off into the distance, we can see the wind tearing the flag from the pole and blowing it away. Although this scene looks contrived and full of metaphors, the flag flew off the pole by accident.

Django Unchained (2012)

Leonardo DiCaprio is an excellent actor who does not step out of character even when he is injured. He proved this in the scene where he injures his hand on broken glass and starts bleeding. This scene was not in the script, the blood is real, but the scene remained in the film, as it is a witness to excellent acting.

Forrest Gump (1994)

A sentence “My name's Forrest Gump. People call me Forrest Gump.” (My name is Forrest Gump. People call me Forrest Gump.) was not in the script. Tom Hanks added the second part to the accident.

Thor: The Dark World (Thor: The Dark World, 2013)

The scene where Thor hangs his hammer in the hall was not in the script. Chris Hemsworth just wanted to make a little joke, but his improvisation was so good that it stayed in the movie.

Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, 1980)

The scene where Leia Organa tells Han Sol that she loves him, he should have replied: "I love you, too." (I love you too.) But Harrison Ford didn't think that answer was in keeping with his character, so instead he improvised and replied: "I know." (I know.)
