Ducati and Dainese have developed a special version of the multistrade with the reinstated D-air system. The main advantage of the joint efforts of renowned manufacturers of motorcycles and equipment for them is that the system is ready at the factory, so the motorcyclist just jumps on the seat and rides away, while the system offers optimal protection for both him and his passenger.
Following last year's announcement by Ducati and Dainese of cooperation in the development of an innovative safety system for motorcyclists, this has already borne fruit. The two renowned companies produced a special version of the multistrada motorcycle, which is wirelessly connected with Dainese's D-air system, which is an advanced motorcycle suit equipped with a system of safety cushions to protect the rider in the event of a fall.
The D-air system basically means a special overall in which the whole is built system of inflatable zones, which protect the most exposed parts of the motorcyclist's body in the event of a collision. The system is connected to the motorcycle via series special sensors, which detect various danger possibilities (collision in front, impact from behind, loss of contact with the ground and the possibility of falling and sliding sideways, etc.)
Before the cooperation of these two motorcycle giants, the implementation of the system to make it work was much more difficult, because the owner of the D-air system had to install a number of sensors on the motorcycle to measure the angles of inclination and gauges on the forks of the motorcycle, as well as a control unit on the handlebars. which was very time-consuming.
Now it's much easier, because everything is taken care of when you order the motorcycle and overalls, and the best thing about it is that there are many versions (made of leather, textile, etc.) as well as passenger version, which is connected to the motorcycle separately.
The system reacts in everything 40 milliseconds, and in twice as much time the airbag system is fully inflated and offers optimal protection. At the same time, the system reacts differently according to the crisis the situation, such as rear-end collisions or loss of ground contact in a bend due to slippery road surfaces.
The only thing that remains unknown for now is the price.
