Pista sveta, a modern theatrical dance performance that puts sports at the center, is coming for the premiere.
After concept and direction by Matjaž Pograjac and in the cast: Primož Bezjak, Branko Jordan, Branko Potočan, Katarina Stegnar and Vito Weiss will be show Runway of the World placed on a pedestal sport.
"We all love sports because of its purity. There is only you, your body, the track and the race. Everyone wants to win, but some people need to win. Everyone believes they can be champions. We are all trapped in the same game from which there is no way out.”
That's what they wrote in the presentation of the play, but at the same time - because people want more and more - they ask themselves what to do? To retire? To tell the truth?
"People want more, more and more. So we have to give them more and more; to be the heroes they think we are, to sacrifice ourselves so that the circus can continue its journey. Culture to the nation, sport to the nation. But what are you going to do then?"
