Italian focaccia it is a juicy and soft and extremely tasty dish, for which you only need basic ingredients. You probably already have these at home. The recipe according to the advice of chef Liberty Martinez will help you to make a simple Italian specialty with little effort.
Delicious Italian focaccia
Ingredients
- 500 g of flour
- 7 g of dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons of sea salt
- olive oil
- teaspoon of coarse sea salt
- sprigs of rosemary
Directions
- Sift the flour into a large bowl. Mix yeast on one side of the flour, and fine salt on the other side and mix everything. Separate the salt from the yeast so as not to disrupt its activity.
- Make a well in the center of the flour and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Gradually add lukewarm water (350-400 ml) until you get a slightly sticky dough.
- Sprinkle the work surface with flour and place the dough on it. Knead for 5-10 minutes until the dough becomes soft and less sticky. Then transfer it to a clean bowl, cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for 1 hour.
- Grease a rectangular shallow pan with oil. Transfer the dough to the work surface, then roll it out to the size of the baking pan. Cover with a kitchen towel and leave to rise for another 35-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200 C. Use your fingers to push into the dough to make indentations. Mix a tablespoon and a half of olive oil, one tablespoon of water and a little salt and pour over the bread. Push the rosemary sprigs into the indentations in the dough.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Delicious Italian focaccia is ready!
