Applying deodorant seems like the easiest thing to do, but after all these years, it turns out that we're clearly not applying it correctly! These are our four most common mistakes!
1. You apply deodorant to wet skin
You might think that applying deodorant the moment you step out of the shower is the best way to prevent bad body odor. But the skin cannot absorb deodorant if it is moist. For best results, use the antiperspirant on completely dry skin.
2. You apply deodorant in the morning
Deodorant should supposedly not be applied in the morning, but before bed. This way it will dry completely. Leave it on overnight, and in the morning wash your armpits and remove the deodorant residue with soap and water.
3. Do not let the deodorant dry
This is apparently a very common problem. If you are in a hurry, you can use a hair dryer (on a cold setting) to speed up the drying process.
4. You apply it too often
If you use a good deodorant, then there is no need to apply several times a day. In this case, apply the deodorant four times under each armpit (2 swipes up, 2 swipes down) maximum once a day!
