New Yorkers George and Linda live an average life in Manhattan until George loses his job. Distraught after the sudden loss, the young couple decides to live differently. The journey takes them to the countryside to a community of hippies, a commune of so-called freedom-loving idlers who try to discover a higher meaning of emotions, love and life in harmony with nature. Despite many misgivings, George and Linda join them, but having spent their entire lives in the city, they soon find themselves in many fun and painful problems in nature.
